MEET OUR PRINCIPAL
Principal Ward
Born and raised in Fort Worth, TX, Tameca Ward is a proud HBCU graduate who leads with her heart. She graduated with her undergraduate degree from Paul Quinn College and went on to receive her master's degree from the University of North Texas. As a Dallas ISD educator for over 20 years, Mrs. Ward has served in the capacity of Teacher, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal in the Oak Cliff and West Dallas areas. Empowerment and passion are evident in the work that she does, both as an educator and as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
As a wife and mother of two, she understands the importance of instilling pride in our youth through student achievement and the celebration of their culture. Mrs. Ward is a courageous leader that possesses the core values of integrity, respect, and accountability. These values are the foundation that drives her unwavering commitment to empower and unify the school community so that in partnership we ensure every student's academic success and well-being. With family ties to the West Dallas Community, Tameca is proud to lead Dr. L.G. Pinkston Sr. High School.
