Clinic Policy
We are here to assist your young adult with any health-related issues. Please note the following: We do not give any medication without a physicians order this includes aspirin, Tylenol, Motrin, Aleve, eye drops ,cough syrup, ear drops, ointments, medicated lotion, sunscreen, eye drops, Pepto-Bismol, laxatives, medications for menstrual cramps, over the counter medications or inhalers.
Per district policy students with temperatures of 100.4 will needed to go home. We do not keep students in the clinic. Also, per policy parents will need to bring all medication to clinic with a written doctor’s order (medication and allergy forms are on DISD website or available in the clinic). Discounted medications will need to be pick up by guardian.

Dallas ISD encourages parents to vaccinate their children early and avoid the long lines by taking advantage of the immunization services offered at any district Youth and Family Center. Vaccinations are required before the start of school, and the Youth and Family Centers, in partnership with Parkland Health and Hospital System, offer immunizations, laboratory tests, and prescriptions. Immunizations are $5, while services such as office visits (including any required lab work and shots) are $15; prescriptions are also $5.

Students must have a doctor and a parent complete the Physician Parent Request Form in order to take medication at school. It is not necessary to fill out if the student is taking medication at home.
